We are all well rested and excited for yet another very busy term in primary 6.
At the end of term 1 we were all given the task of completing some personal research at home. We were allowed to present our findings in any way that we wanted. We then had the opportunity to share these with our classmates. There were many different types of research based projects such as PowerPoint, posters, flap books, comics and booklets. We very much enjoyed hearing the facts and information that our classmates had found out. We all look very proud of our personal research in the pictures below.
At the beginning of last week we made our own haunted house silhouettes and created cliff hanger stories based around this setting. We made posters in order to try and sell out spooky houses using some great descriptive phrases. We were also given the difficult task of completing our cold pieces.
Last week week in maths we were developing our skills in adding 2 and 3 amounts of money with and without carrying. We were also working on our ability to do this mentally.
On the chromebooks, we were asked to compare the costs of various products from a range of shops in order to work out which supermarket was the most cost effective to shop at.
In PE, we have been learning to juggle. We are finding this extremely difficult but if you ask us in a few weeks time we might be able to show off. Some of our class also represented the school at a local cross country event last Friday and had a great time.
We will keep you updated throughout the term on any other exciting things that are happening in Primary 6. In our next post we might even be able to mention the 'C' word...... Christmas!
Happy Blogging!
