It is finally the time of year to start mentioning the C word..... CHRISTMAS!

It may only be the start of December but Primary 6 have been working extremely hard to get our classroom ready for the festive season. As a class we created our own version of 'The Christmas Alphabet'

C is for the candles flickering on the fire place
H is for the happy children with a smile upon their face
R is for the reindeer pulling Santa's sleigh
I is for the icicles falling in his way
S is for snow falling on the ground
T is for the Christmas tree with presents all around
M is for millions of presents lying everywhere
A is for the antlers jingling in the air
S is for the stockings filled with lovely sweets
T is for the tinsel shining on the Christmas treats
I is for the icy roofs that Santa lands upon
M is for the mice pies that will soon be gone
E is for everyone that enjoys Christmas time!

We have also been writing Christmas descriptions and have created fantastic 'Through the Window' artwork to go with them.

We have recently gained celebrity status in Primary 6 as we recorded a short Christmas song for Clyde 1. We hope you managed to hear it on the Radio. If not, don't worry as Miss Eccles has a copy and is going to try and add it to our next blog!

Now back to non Christmas related fun....

For Anti Bullying week we worked in pairs and thought about the impact that our words and actions can have on those around us. We then used our ideas to create posters containing important messages about bullying.

We have also been learning all about germs and the nasty things that they can do to our bodies if we do not take care of ourselves. We created fact sheets about germs and found out lots of very interesting information.

Using our knowledge, we created posters to encourage our peers to wash their hands properly and have displayed these in the toilets all around the school Have a look out for them the next time you are in visiting.

As you can see, we are very proud of the finished products.

Let's go back to Christmas for a second,  Primary 6 have been working extremely hard to create unique and limited edition Christmas decorations for the school fate this Friday 8th of December. If possible, please come along and check them out. Here is a sneak peak of our 'Terrific Trees'

We are looking forward to the rest of the festive season in Primary 6! x
